Wholesale Authentic Terry Godwin Jersey On Sale

A year after spending most of his rookie season on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad, free agent wide receiver Terry Godwin has signed a new deal with the team, bringing him back for 2020.

The Jaguars announced the move on Thursday afternoon.

Godwin was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round (237th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft after he caught 133 passes for 1,788 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Georgia Bulldogs throughout his college career. He was eventually waived by the Panthers before the 2019 season began.

Godwin was signed to the Jaguars’ practice squad on Sept. 10, 2019. Godwin spent Weeks 2-15 on Jacksonville’s practice squad until being placed on the team’s practice squad reserve/injured list on Dec. 19, 2019.

Godwin is now the seventh free agent the Jaguars have signed this offseason, joining linebacker Joe Schobert, defensive lineman Rodney Gunter, defensive tackle Al Woods, cornerback Rashaan Melvin, defensive end Cassius Marsh, and tight end Tyler Eifert. Authentic Terry Godwin Jersey is the only free agent addition who spent time previously with the Jaguars.

Earlier this month, the Jaguars also placed a second-round tender on wide receiver Keelan Cole, keeping the fourth-year wide receiver for 2020. Godwin didn’t appear in any games last season, but Cole and other veterans in the locker room often had high praise for his practice habits and his work ethic.

With Godwin signed, the Jaguars’ current roster consists of Godwin, Cole, Authentic Dede Westbrook Jersey, Authentic Chris Conley Jersey, Authentic D.J. Chark Jersey, Authentic Marqise Lee Jersey, Authentic Michael Walker Jersey, and Authentic Charone Peake Jersey. Godwin will have a leg up on other wide receiver additions when it comes to making the roster in 2020 thanks to his experience with the coaching staff, but he is still a longshot to make an impact next season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars finished free agency and look to go into the 2020 NFL season with upgrades at linebacker, cornerback, and defensive line.

But what about their offense?

That will be the question going into the next few weeks as teams prepare for the NFL Draft in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Will they add another running back? What about a backup quarterback? Any chance they continue upgrading their defense?

As you can see, there are still some major deficiencies on the roster and the front office has some obvious needs for the NFL Draft:

Tight end
Wide receiver
Running back
Interior offensive line
Defensive end
Some (if not all) of those positions will get addressed in the NFL Draft. But here’s where I stand right now on what the 53-man roster looks like if these were our players going into the offseason to prepare for the 2020 season.

Quarterbacks (2): Gardner Minshew, Josh Dobbs
This one’s not too difficult. There’s literally two quarterbacks on the roster currently. I have to imagine they draft a guy on Day 3. No offense to Dobbs, but I think they also sign a veteran to be a true backup to Minshew.

Running back (5): Leonard Fournette, Ryquell Armstead, Devine Ozigbo, Authentic Jeremy McNichols Jersey, Authentic Devante Mays Jersey
Again, it’s very obvious to see we’re going to be drafting a running back. After the first three running backs, I don’t know if anyone is going to make the 53-man roster. The Jaguars need to move to more of a running back by committee approach instead of letting Fournette handle more than 82 percent of the offensive snaps like he did last season.

Wide receiver (6): Authentic D.J. Chark Jersey, Authentic Marqise Lee Jersey, Authentic Chris Conley Jersey, Authentic Dede Westbrook Jersey, Keelan Cole, Authentic C.J. Board Jersey
Things are very fluid at wide receiver. I think Chark, Conley, Westbrook, and Cole are the only ones playing snaps next season on this list as I think Lee gets traded or cut and they draft a receiver in the first two days of the NFL Draft. As you can see, they need an upgrade here, but not as massive as at…

Tight end (4): Josh Oliver, James O’Shaugnessy, Charles Jones II, Matt Sokol
Uh… yeah. This team is definitely signing a veteran and drafting a guy in the middle rounds. These are the only four tight ends on the roster as of today.

Offensive line (9): Cam Robinson, Andrew Norwell, Brandon Linder, A.J. Cann, Jawaan Taylor, Tyler Shatley, Will Richardson, KC McDermott, Brandon Thomas
The first five players are the tentative starters before the NFL Draft and the team has made big investments in Shatley and Richardson. I’m surprised the team wasn’t able to offload Norwell during free agency as the team had an out this offseason on his contract. I wonder if he’ll be a part of a trade closer to April.

Defensive line (10): Josh Allen, Yannick Ngakoue, Dawuanne Smoot, Lerentee McCray, Rodney Gunter, Abry Jones, Taven Bryan, Dontavius Russell, Brian Price, Chuck Harris
Another position group that isn’t done yet. The Jaguars could lose Ngakoue, add one (or two!) defensive linemen in the NFL Draft, and even sign a guy to fill out the bottom of the roster. Whew.

Linebackers (5): Joe Schobert, Myles Jack, Quincy Williams, Leon Jacobs, Austin Calitro
Did not expect Calitro to be coming back on an exclusive rights tender, but here we are. I wouldn’t rule out drafting a guy and the team going with six. Hopefully they’ve learned from last season to keep more than they need.

Cornerbacks (5): Darqueze Dennard, Tre Herndon, D.J. Hayden, Parry Nickerson, Brandon Watson
These are the five cornerbacks currently on the roster and I expect one in the first round, likely with the No. 20 overall pick. The most proven outside cornerback this team currently has is Herndon and that’s just not good enough.

Safeties (4): Jarrod Wilson, Ronnie Harrison, Andrew Wingard, Josh Jones
Another position group that desperately needs an upgrade, albeit not as much as others. Look for them to target a safety either in the third or fourth round of the NFL Draft.

Special teams (3): Matt Orzech, Josh Lambo, Logan Cooke
Please do not ask me questions about special teams. My @ is not open at this time.

Three Jacksonville Jaguars – Calais Campbell, Jalen Ramsey, and Yannick Ngakoue – were named to CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco’s top 100 NFL list.
The Jacksonville Jaguars defense gets some more love this offseason.

In his recent list of the top 100 players in the NFL, Pete Prisco of cbssports.com has included three Jaguars players, all who should make an impact on this season. It’s a list he said isn’t easy to compile because of the talent in the NFL.

“So dive in, look around, complain, moan and groan – I expect all of it – but putting together a list like this isn’t easy,” Prisco writes. Good players get left out because we have an abundance of them in the NFL right now and there is a giant middle class after the 25 or so dominant group of stars.”

The former Jaguars beat writer here in Jacksonville turned NFL analyst listed defensive end Calais Campbell 17th on his list. Jalen Ramsey, the Jaguars controversial cornerback and arguably the best player on the roster, comes in at No. 33. Yannick Ngakoue, who is seeking a new deal from the team in the final season of his rookie deal, comes in at No. 71. The Jaguars can ill afford the edge rusher to hold out or miss time this season because of a financial distraction.

“He has 29.5 sacks in his first three seasons and had 9.5 a year ago,” Prisco writes about Ngakoue, who was a third-round pick out of Maryland in 2016. “It’s no wonder he’s looking for a big contract.”

Ngakoue and Campbell form one of the best pass-rushing duos in the NFL. The Jaguars also added Kentucky edge rusher John Allen to the mix this season with the seventh pick in the NFL Draft this past April.

Campbell has been the undisputed leader of this defense since he signed a free-agent deal with Jacksonville in the free agency in 2017. At 32 years old, he is finding a rhythm many players his age are still searching for. The defensive scheme designed by coordinator Todd Wash plays to Campbell’s strengths and has allowed him to have his two best seasons of his career in Black and Teal.

Prisco thinks that despite a dip in the overall performance of the defense in 2018, Campbell still played at an ultra-high level.

“His sack numbers went down some, but he was better last year than he was in 2017 when he got Defensive Player of the Year consideration,” he added.

The ranking of Ramsey is a bit of a question given his talent level and how he plays against top-level talent. The former 2016 first-round draft pick (in the same class with Ngakoue), made the Pro Bowl for a second consecutive season in 2018. The Jaguars have already announced they will pick up his fifth-year option in 2020 that will pay him $13.7 million.

“He wasn’t as dominant as expected last season, but I see him bouncing back in a big way. The talent is there to be the best in the league,” Prisco wrote.

The three players helped the Jaguars finish fifth in the NFL in total defense last season.
